Cornus alba Westonbirt

Cornus alba 'Westonbirt' also known as Cornus alba 'Siberica' and the Siberian Dogwood is a medium sized, non-evergreen shrub which is distinctive for its densely branched habit producing slender red stems, that turn an even brighter crimson in the winter to brighten up the garden. This colourful shrub has oval-shaped green leaves which turn dark red in autumn, small, flat, cream flowerheads and bluish-white berries. This low maintenance shrub would be best grown within the mixed border in both cottage or informal style gardens where it can be admired during the colder months.
