Lophomyrtus x ralphii 'Red Dragon' is a stunning evergreen shrub originating from New Zealand with small pointed leaves which are pinkish red when young, maturing to rich chocolate-purple and darkening even further in winter, cup-shaped, white flowers on mature plants and are followed by dark black-red berries. This colourful shrub can be used to brighten up the mixed bed, as hedging, and the cut stems are excellent for flower arranging.
