Kolkwitzia amabilis Maradco

Kolkwitzia amabilis 'Maradco' is a non-evergreen shrub with arching branches, leaves which are copper-tinged in spring, turning to soft yellow, then green-tinted/golden in summer and finally orange and gold before falling in autumn. Beautiful clusters of bell-shaped, soft pink flowers are produced during April and May, followed by capsule-like fruits which remain for a long period. Mature plants display peeling bark, which adds winter interest. This delightful shrub is a must for the mixed shrub bed or border.
