Cotinus coggygria. Grace

Grace shrubs

Cotinus coggygria 'Grace' also known as smoke bush is a large non-evergreen shrub with round leaves that open wine-red turning to dusky-reddish-blue as they mature and then bright orange-red in autumn and masses of large, deep pink, panicles of flower during early summer, looking like clouds of smoke from a distance, hence the name 'smoke bush'. This colourful, non-evergreen shrub would look lovely planted within a mixed border or bed albeit in a cottage or informal garden in full sun or partial shade to give architectural interest, and can also be useful for flower arranging.
