Taxodium distichum Peve Minaret
Taxodium distichum 'Peve Minaret' otherwise known as the Dwarf Swamp Cypress is a very slow growing tree, of a narrow, upright habit.
This rare, non-evergreen tree has soft, delicate, needle-like leaves that look feathery along its upward sweeping branches, and are bright green when young, deepening by early summer, then turning a gorgeous russet orange-red before falling in autumn.
During the winter months the attractive and unique candelabra-shaped branch structure can be enjoyed.

How to grow
Taxodium distichum 'Minaret' is a wonderful plant for the smaller garden, for those who lack space required for one of the larger forms. It can be planted within a mixed border, as a free standing specimen or in a bog garden, as it is tolerant of wet soil conditions.
