Rich wine-red flowers with contrasting yellow centres are produced during July to September against distinctive, dark green, heart-shaped leaves. Clematis 'Madame Edouard Andre' is a non-evergreen climber which can be grown against a trellis, garden wall, fence, arches, pillars, pergolas, clambering over tree stumps and through large shrubs or planted in a container trained up bamboo canes or an obelisk.
Clematis 'Madame Edouard Andre' was raised at the nursery of Baron Veillard of Orleans, France.
