Clematis 'H. F. Young' is a variety which stands on its own as being the bluest of the large flowered hybrid type.
Delightful Wedgwood-blue flowers are produced May, June and again in September with green centres.
This non-evergreen climber can be grown against a trellis, garden fence, wall, arches, pillars, pergolas, clambering over tree stumps and through large shrubs or planted in a container trained up bamboo canes or an obelisk.
Clematis 'H.F. Young' was raised by Walter Pennell of Pennell and Sons nursery and named after the director responsible for the company's Grimsby shop and nursery.
